Our Impact

Impact

EcoCare has partnered with the local community through an initiative which promotes creativity where innovators collaborate to upcycle ocean debris into art pieces, fashion wear, furniture, home décor, and other valuable products to earn a living.

Waste management

Working with a group of passionate volunteers in Kilifi County collecting waste and restoring the environment. The waste is then recycled into valuable products.

02

Mangrove Tree planting

Restoring mangroves in Majaoni to protect the coast and support biodiversity

03

GreenPath Community Initiatives

Introducing GreenPath community initiatives that foster biodiversity and repurpose waste sustainably, generating income to support local livelihoods

04

Beach Clean-up

EcoCare_3Rs join volunteers in cleaning the beach, collecting waste and restoring the shoreline for a healthier and cleaner environment.

05

Recycling of waste

Disposal is done to recyclers who turn it into valuable resources through responsible recycling

06

Creative Hub

At our creative hub, bottles are transformed into stylish water glasses and lampshades, turning waste into functional art.

07

Waste Management

Effective waste management starts with proper segregation, ensuring recyclables, compostables, and non-recyclables are handled correctly to reduce pollution, conserve resources, and promote a cleaner environment.

08

GreenPath Initiatives

I conducted a community empowerment forum in Kilifi and
supported a family in renovating their home, turning empowerment into tangible action.

Impact Executive Network

Mentorship program

Football plays a key role in EcoCare_3Rs by engaging young people and communities in a powerful, relatable way. Through the Afya Tip pillar, we use football spaces to promote health and wellness, sharing practical tips on hygiene, nutrition, mental well-being, and environmental health. These activities not only encourage physical fitness and positive lifestyle choices but also provide an opportunity to integrate environmental action such as clean-ups, tree planting, and recycling awareness. Football therefore becomes more than a game; it becomes a platform for mentorship, community unity, and driving meaningful environmental and social impact.

Through EcoCare_3Rs, the Impact Executive Network (IEN) cultivates the next generation of leaders, empowering them with coaching and mentorship, providing strategic guidance, and equipping them with the tools to create meaningful impact.

Team building (Football matches)

EcoCare initiatives create measurable environmental and social impacts, including:

  • Increased environmental literacy by educating students and communities about sustainable practices.
  • Community empowerment by engaging in eco-friendly initiatives to empower their livelihoods.
  • Environmental restoration by reducing pollution and biodiversity conservation through tree and mangrove planting.
